Company

The company that measures how work actually happens.

Stereologic has spent 18 years on a single problem: the distance between how an operation is documented and how it is actually performed. The company builds the discovery layer that closes it.

What we do

One job: show the work the systems don’t record.

Every large operation runs on two processes. There is the one in the process map, the SOP and the system of record — and there is the one the people doing the work actually perform, across applications nobody logs, in spreadsheets, in email, in the legacy screen that was supposed to be retired four years ago. The second one is where the cost, the risk and the variation live, and it is the one almost nobody can evidence.

Stereologic measures that second process. Work is observed across web, desktop, office, legacy and custom applications — with non-intrusive, no-install desktop-recording software and no Administrator-level endpoint access, and without integrating source systems to begin. That observed activity is reconstructed into how the process actually runs, and turned into process maps, generated SOPs, task-level detail and a measured operational baseline that a transformation, automation or AI programme can be built on.

That is the whole company. Process Mining, Deep Task Mining and Process Intelligence are three capabilities of one discipline — the process level, the activity level, and the intelligence that integrates them — not three products in search of a market.

What we believe

Manual analysis of an operation is a cost and a risk.

We believe that the costs and risks of manual analysis of business operations should be left in the past.

Interviews, workshops and spot-checks are how most organizations still describe their own operations. They take months, they capture what people remember rather than what people do, and they produce a picture that cannot be checked by anyone who was not in the room.

The company’s stated mission has not changed since: to change the way companies analyze, improve and control their business processes and operations. In practice that means one thing — establish the operational baseline by measurement before spending money on change.

Why start with us

The record

What is verifiable, and nothing beyond it.

A deliberately narrow set of company facts: years in the discipline, patents granted, and where the company is.

18 years of operational discovery

Stereologic has worked on the same problem since before process mining was a category name. The relevant claim is not company age — it is 18 years spent on one discipline: measuring how operational work is actually performed.

3 granted patents

Three patents have been granted. The earliest was filed in 2009 and granted in the United States in 2019, covering the use of optical character recognition together with user-system interaction to discover employee tasks — which is why task mining is where this technology started rather than a later addition.

How we handle numbers

Every customer outcome is published with its scope, its timeframe and the method behind it. That is why the evidence pages carry two stories rather than twenty.
